Missed the voter registration deadline? Here's what you can still do
For the November 3, 2026 election. Every date from an official government election office.
A passed deadline is not always the end. Many states have a later way to register, and some let you register and vote on Election Day. Choose your state to see what is still open.
Three things anyone can do today
- Check whether you're already registered. Many people are and don't know it. Check at vote.gov.
- Ask your election office. It has the final word on your options. Find your state or local election office.
- Register now for the next election. Then you're set before the next deadline. Every state's registration deadlines.
